Tibet House US is an organization seeking to "promote and preserve Tibetan culture by serving as both a cultural center in New York City and an online global resource for those interested in Tibetan civilization." To spread the word, they've gathered a slew of great artists, all interested in and supportive of Tibet House, for a massive benefit concert at Carnegie Hall. The Roots, the Flaming Lips, Patti Smith, Michael Stipe, Philip Glass, and many more will all take the stage tonight in celebration of Tibet. The concert anticipates the arrival of Tibetan New Year on March 5, which will usher in the Year of the Iron Hare.
