Jimmy's No. 43 (NYC) Hosts Brisket Cookoff Saturday (3/26)

One of our favorite East Village bars celebrates a truly special cut of beef.

Last weekend, Jimmy's No. 43 hosted a fleet of rare beer imports courtesy of Shelton Brothers. Satiating another of our cravings, they host a brisket cookoff tomorrow.

Brisket is a versatile cut of beef, lending itself well to a number of different ethnic cuisines. There's brisket bbq, traditional Jewish brisket, corn-beef and pastrami, just to name some of the most popular. Amateur and professional chefs will prepare every variety Saturday. It's $20 to get in, and trust us, you'll get more than your money's worth.

All proceeds go to New Amsterdam Market.
