At the beginning of each month, Complex takes a look at five cool "First Friday" parties happening around the country. This week we kick things off with a check-in on the goings on in Louisville, Kentucky.

As party-throwing excuses go, Kentucky's biggest city doesn't need to wait for a bunch of horses running around in a circle while women with big hats and men in ill-fitted seersucker suits watch with gold-plated binoculars. Louisville gets it in every first Friday with their monthly Trolley Hops where thousands of Louisvillians roll down and around Market Street and Main Street where galleries, shops, and museums stay open late just for the occasion. This Friday, start your evening at the The Muhammad Ali Center, where an exhibit called "LoCAL.streets" is currently on display, featuring Louisville's contribution to the street art genre. —Jozen Cummings (@jozenc)
