2003's raunchy Bad Santa has become somewhat a non-traditional holiday favorite. Billy Bob Thornton, in all his booze-soaked Christmas cheer, has expressed interest in reprising the role, and The Weinstein Company is surely listening. Along with Miramax, the trio are having official discussions for Bad Santa 2. "We feel that it's a Christmas perennial for the R-rated crowd," a Weinstein Co. rep told TheWrap. "Everyone loves the character and Billy Bob's excited to be in talks with us."

The original flick featured the rough 'n, rowdy star as a cranky alcoholic crook who routinely dresses up as a department store Santa to scope out heists, until a series of unfortunate events, and a chubby kid complicate matters. Director Terry Zwigoff, producers Joel and Ethan Coen, nor any of the other original stars (R.I.P. Bernie Mac and John Ritter) have not expressed their involvement with the sequel just yet.
