3M Debuts 10-Finger Multitouch Display

3M brings us one step closer to "Minority Report."

3M, manufacturer of quite possibly everything under the sun, makes displays, too. Large, 10-finger multitouch ones.

The C3266PW, unveiled today at CeBit, measures 32 inches, but more impressively boasts a 178-degree viewing angle, so watching it from any almost any position is possible. 3M evidently sought to create a product ideal for public installations and seem to have nailed it. The display’s touch response is especially remarkable, given the combination of its speedy 12-millisecond recognition time and non-glare, “anti-stiction” surface, allowing for seemingly frictionless gliding as your fingers move about the display.

As you’ll see in the Engadget video above, the C3266PW defines intuitiveness—Devin Chanda
