Nintendo 3DS Midnight Launch Brings Out The Crazies

We know "fanboy" is probably the proper term, but dressing up as Captain Falcon?

At midnight on Saturday—or Sunday?—the Nintendo 3DS officially launched in North America, and Nintendo pulled out all the stops outside the Best Buy in Union Square, NYC. On hand to witness the proceedings and pick up a handheld were, unsurprisingly, people wearing their favorite homages to Nintendo games. Like the guy whose hat appeared to have a giant carrot crocheted onto it (a Rayman 3D thing, maybe?). Or the guy dressed like Captain Falcon from F-Zero...which hasn't even been confirmed to be a future 3DS release. We're not saying we don't dress up like Zangief when we play Street Fighter, but at least we don't go on camera when we do it.
