Have you ever tried heroism...on weeeeed? Meet Marijuanaman, the comic book creation of reggae star Ziggy Marley! According to an Image Comics press release, Bob Marley's son has teamed up with writer Joe Casey and illustrator Jim Mahfood for a 48-page hardcover Marijuanaman book about a dude who really likes to smoke, or is made of weed, or something like that.
While you might think Marijuanaman is a sloth growing breasts on his couch and watching infomercial reruns, he is apparently "a noble extraterrestrial champion, who has arrived on Earth to deliver an important message and at the same time save his own planet." Marley explains, "Marijuanaman represents the hope of the future...the hope that we will utilize all of the power that the universe has given us to save our planet."
There are currently no details on Marijuanaman's superpowers, but it would be pretty lame if he just hit villains with smoke bombs and they became too lazy to do evil. Find out exactly what he's about when the book drops on...wait for it...wait for it...4/20.
