On this day in 1960, Georgia native Joanne Woodward, legendary actress and wife of Paul Newman, earned the first star on the ever-famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. Now with over 1,500 names now lining Los Angeles boulevards, it all began with the Academy Award-winning beauty from classics flicks such as The Three Faces of Eve. Yep, before seemingly anyone could get a star, including the WTF-worthy Donald Trump, beloved and talented entertainment industry staples were solely honored. But Woodward would not be the last from her humble state to make it big in Hollywood.
