One of the added benefits of watching a television series on cable as opposed to network? The increased chances of gratuitous nudity! With that in mind, let's give some major props to Boardwalk Empire and Spartacus: Blood and Sand, the 2011 Mr. Skin Anatomy Award winners for best television series.

Both shows are known for their extreme violence and liberal nudity, but for us this feels like a bit of a hedge. After all, Spartacus might have more naked people per square inch than Boardwalk Empire, but it doesn't have Paz de la Huerta. And considering her entire role was performed with as little clothing as possible, it feels like Boardwalk Empire deserves some special television recognition.

As for the other awards, you can check them out over at Mr. Skin's site. (The link is mostly nudity free, but likely NSFW.) One note for Mad Men fans: Jessica Pare (who played Don's new wife Megan on the last season of the show), won the Anatomy Award for Best Breasts (not kidding) after going topless in Hot Tub Time Machine. Just sayin', in case your interested in that sort of thing.
