The rumors regarding Apple creating a smaller, cheaper iPhone may have been put out, but the company's COO, Tim Cook, just rekindled the flame. In an interview with Bernstein Research analyst Toni Sacconaghi, Cook spoke about the directions Apple will be heading in during the next few years.

After calling the iPhone the "mother of all halos", Tim Cook went on to suggest that Apple is planning "clever things" to address the prepaid market. He also stated that the company doesn't only want to make products "just for the rich." Put two and two together and you can surmise that the Curpertino, Calif. company is looking to sling iPhones to anyone that can afford 'em.
