Worst Performances: Twister (1996), Shadow Of The Vampire (2000), Saw (2004)

For all of its accolades and genre-specific importance, there's one thing about the 2004 horror franchise-starter Saw that's largely ignored: Most of the acting is ridiculously bad. The worst performer of all is Cary Elwes, whose overly melodramatic line deliveries and hilariously off-base freak-outs render gruesome scenes utterly comical. Upon further investigation, we realized that Elwes has always missed the mark, despite how much we may love his better films, like The Princess Bride and Glory. If not for Jigsaw, he might've steered totally clear of our ever-cynical minds.
