The 24-year-old actor "transformed" into a tough guy last night. Apparently he doesn't appreciate gay slurs.

Shia LaBeouf was detained by LAPD and put into a police squad car for questioning after starting a fight outside the Mad Bull's Tavern. Video of the 24-year-old's arrest was quickly made available via RadarOnline, which also talked with the man on the other side of the fight, Mark Mastro.

"My girlfriend saw Shia, and told me. I wanted to get a picture with him, so I went over to his table, sat down next to him, and told him I was a fan of his. I called him 'Mr. LaBeouf.'" Respectable, right? You would think that the Transformers: Dark of the Moon star would be hype with his trailer debuting to millions (and millions) of fans nationwide, right? Uh-huh. After LaBeouf told him to "get the fuck out of my way," Maniac Mastro retailiated, calling the star a "fucking faggot."

LaBeouf apparently doesn't like having f-bombs dropped on him, as he showcased his action star skills jumping over the patio fence to engage in a bullfight of his own. Says Mastro, who punched the actor in the face and split his lip, "He was getting in my face. He was talking shit. He was chest-bumping me." All this aggression for an autograph? And you thought underwhelming Super Bowl commercials pissed you off.
