Martin Scorsese must hate taking vacations, because he certainly has shown no signs of slowing down in recent years. According to indieWIRE, Scorsese is currently attached to direct the financial drama The Wolf of Wall Street. The article also points out that this film will reteam the venerable director with his frequent collaborator and leading man, Leonardo DiCaprio. The Wolf of Wall Street will be based on the memoir of the same name, which chronicles the rise and fall of infamous Wall Street broker, Jordan Belfort.

However, The Wolf of Wall Street won’t be Scorsese’s next project after his 3D children's movie Hugo Cabret (opening on December 9), according to indieWire. Apparently the oft-delayed film Silence is Uncle Marty's immediate focus. Based on a novel by Shusaku Endo, Silence revolves around the persecution of two Jesuit missionaries in 17th century Japan. Daniel Day-Lewis, Benicio Del Toro and Gael Garcia Bernal have all been rumored to have roles in the film.

Silence has long been a passion for Scorsese, but a series of legal problems have delayed the film’s production. But with those battles settled, it appears as though the director with the most famous eyebrows in the Western world is set to finally deliver.
