Dead or Alive Dimensions for the 3DS has a Figure mode which allows gamers to collect figures of their favorite characters from the franchise. This figure mode also exists in Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, but the difference here is that are over 1,000 figures (each sporting different costumes or poses)...which you can put in various environments in order to set up 3D photo shots. Is this a fighting game or just softcore for otakus? Call them action figures all you want, but when it comes down to it you’re just playing with yourself dolls again.
Sure, the Dead or Alive chicks are hot. Sure, we love jiggle-physics. But hopefully, the people playing this one are there to smash faces and pull off painful combos, and not simply staring at their hand-crafted 3D photo gallery ready to make a fapuccino.
