Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto has confirmed that he's working on a new Super Mario Bros. platformer for the upcoming 3DS handheld.  While this isn't exactly surprising, it makes us wonder why no information on the mustachioed plumber’s title was revealed at the recent 3DS press conference. Perhaps Nintendo held this one back to swing the PR pendulum back their way after Sony’s NGP announcement? Put on your tinfoil hats, folks, it's conspiracy theory time! [Game Life]

Mad Catz is ready for the release of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 next week, and—of course—has a new FightStick to prove it. Well, actually, they have the same FightStick as the one they built for the Street Fighter IV Tournament Edition, but they slapped a shiny new sticker on it that says "Marvel vs. Capcom 3." Close enough, guyz! [Joystiq]

On the heels of the Crysis 2 Xbox demo, developer Crytek has released the minimum system requirements for the game's PC version. It's not as crazy as what people needed to get the most out of the original Crysis, but that doesn't mean we won't be hearing some bitching today! [CVG]

Traveller’s Tales is cracking into a new franchise for its popular LEGO series, and this time it’s Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean.  Set to release in May alongside the new movie, LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean will feature over 70 characters and “sticky” areas so players can explore and fight on masts and bridges without falling off every few seconds. There’s a crude joke in there somewhere, but since we’re talking about a family-friendly game, we’ll hold off. [IGN]

Could there actually be a Kinect game that does away with the mini-games and awkward photos of you trying to play it? We've got our fingers crossed that Twisted Pixel's The Gunstringer is that game. The title reportedly puts you in control of an undead cowboy marionette, and includes both 2D side-scrolling and 3D on-rails shooting levels. Oh, and the trailer kicks ass. [Gamers Mint]
