The Castlevania series has a long and complicated storyline, so we won't even begin to try to explain it. All you need to know is that the DS is the perfect console for the series, as exemplified by the inclusion of the previous two titles on this list (Portrait of Ruin and Order of Ecclesia), and this was the first in the series to appear on the handheld—all the way back in 2005, before anyone had even heard of Sarah Palin. The game continues the struggle of the Belmont clan against Dracula, but mixes things up by giving you the ability to add various special attacks through soul absorption. Remember, kids: No soul absorption without parental supervision.

FUN FACT: A new storyline with additional characters are available after finishing the game through an unlockable Julius Mode.
