#7: EDDIE MURPHY AS DONKEY IN THE SHREK SERIES (2001, 2004, 2007, 2010)

Thanks to Donkey, the chatterbox comic relief of the mega-popular Shrek franchise, Eddie Murphy’s career hasn’t totally gone the shameful way of Pluto Nash, or Norbit, or Meet Dave, or, OK, you get the point. Never at a loss for a snap, Donkey is the much-needed wisecracker next to the quintessential straight-man (or is it straight-ogre?) Shrek. He’s also your little sibling’s favorite soul brother equid, the Richard Pryor of children’s cinema. Simply put, Donkey is quite an ass.
