Billed as the "ultimate celebration of chili, beer and all things spicy," a chili-tasting visa will cost you $30 ($35 day of) and get you a sampling of the best steaming hot chilis NYC's top restaurants (try Blue Ribbon Bakery, Fete Sau, Beer Table, and Vinegar Hill House for starters) have to offer. If that's not enough, Brooklyn Brewery is pairing four of the favorite chili compatible brews to wash it down ($40 advance/$45 day of) and there will be live bands (no word on if the music is chili-themed, but it will most likely pair up nicely). Head over to chilifest2011.com to get your tickets. There will of course be a celebrity panel judging who wins the 2011 Golden Chili Mug and $2,000, but we highly recommend you go figure it out for yourself. -Patrick Albertson
