Here’s one for all the guys out there who wish they could tell their girls to hit the kitchen without getting slapped. Back during World War II, women were expected to handle all of the mundane, yet necessary, work while men fought, a then-birthright driven home in this documentary. Eleanor Roosevelt narrates as gals are shown sewing parachutes, nursing, and manufacturing firearms. We wouldn’t advise showing this to your ball-and-chain in hopes of putting her to work, though; nowadays, a woman has the right to snuff you in the face for such chauvinism.
