When it debuted, gOS' developers described the Ubuntu-based operating system as "an alternative OS with Google Apps and other Web 2.0 apps for the modern user." That sounds a lot like what the Chrome OS is supposed to be, doesn't it? First seen on Everex's Cloudbook, it has grown into a full Web 2.0 experience with Google Gadgets now installed directly into the system, easy access to all Google Apps, a cool 3-D window switcher, and Google Desktop Search.
