Charges: California-based NetAirus Technologies claimed that Apple's iPhone infringed on a patent for, among other things, "small light weight modular microcomputer based computer and communications systems, designed for both portability and desktop uses.”
Complex says: This case is still being deliberated but, real talk, we can't see how NetArius is going to win this one. Shit is...ridiculous. Instead of staking claim on a certain part of the iPhone's tech, the company is claiming that Apple stole the entire idea of the iPhone. To paraphrase Jesse Eisenberg in The Social Network, if NetAirus really invented the iPhone, it would have invented the iPhone...and every other modern-day smartphone for that matter.
