#25. DJ HERO 2
Systems: PS3, 360, Wii
Release Date: Oct. 19
We love when a game manages to reinvent itself. It's not that the first DJ Hero was bad, it was just that FreeStyle Games managed to fix most of the dumb stuff that got in the way the first time (DJ vs. Guitar? Really?) while improving just about everything. The multiplayer was great, allowing you to rack up more points by competing with much better players, and freestyle scratch and crossfade sections actually brought a modicum of technicality into the equation. We could have done without the lengthy house section in the story mode, but there was plenty of hip-hop and reggae to keep us happy. Wheel dat chune back!
