It's hard not to feel skeptical about a film called Cowboys and Aliens. We knew Hollywood's trying to bring back the Western, but clusterfucking two outdated subjects sound...Wait a minute, that's ingenious! Based on a graphic novel of the same title, the film can work as a determining factor for studios to see if the general public's still willing to spend their money on a movie about gruesome extraterrestrials and romanticized gun slingers as if we're still in the '80s and '60s, respectively. That said, we're looking forward to see what Jon Favreau (Iron Man) and the talented cast (Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Olivia Wilde) have cooked up. The trailer does a fine job causing suspense and keeping most of the plot concealed. Since it doesn't hit theaters until July 29, 2011, we'll wait until further features of the film get revealed.
