Sure, there was a time when the Not Ready For Prime Time Players dealt somewhat deftly with race and satire (whether thanks to Eddie Murphy or just the fact that Chevy Chase wanted a chance to drop the N-bomb), but over the past two decades the show has been about as friendly to its black cast members as the WB Network. Sure, you can get stage time, but you're gonna need to either dress up like a woman or straight buffoon yourself out. Why hire a talented young comic with a decent Obama impression when we've got a half-Venezuelan guy who can do it? Don't worry, white folks, you can still "act black" for laughs!
