The socio-historical underpinnings of this Disney classic are pretty clear. The intertwined narratives of the dalmatian diaspora and the slovenly, drunken poor doing the bidding of the dog-fur coat-fiending aristocracy are an obvious commentary on...ah, who are we kidding, those wittle puppies are so cute! (Also, Mike Vick got shit on Cruella De Vil.)
