Spit Happens! A History of Spitting in Cops' Food

They say revenge is a dish best served cold, but Gary Herb, an employee at a fast food chain that let's you have it your way would rather serve it on top of a flame-broiled cheeseburger. A Vancouver, Washington sheriff's deputy is suing $75,000 after he found a softball-sized loogie in his sandwich, which DNA testing confirmed came from Herb. There's a lot of risks that go along with being a cop, but the most dangerous part by far is their lunch break.     Not too be high hat. I used to spit on the bread I would serve to stingy tippers in my days in the restaurant business (I was only 17), but this hits a new low in journalism and one that can get you a nightstick in the head. Actually, I like the headline, and would steal it if I had any place it would work.
