APP: The Marvel Comics App
COMPLEX SAYS: Everyone's been trying to figure out the best way for people to digitally read books, newspapers and magazines, but not many people seemed too concerned with how comics will fare in the new digital world. npr_ipad

APP: NPR for iPad
COMPLEX SAYS: If they haven't already, every news organization is going to draft up an iPad app. Out of the ones available on launch day, our favorite is NPR's. In addition to redesigning their website to properly suit iPad users, they made their native app take advantage of all the iPads strong suits. Open it up and you'll see their three main categories: "News", "Arts & Life", and "Music". You can effortlessly scroll through each category to see the latest stories. You can add them to your Playlist or click to read the stories and simply press the sound button and listen to it on the spot. This is how NPR should be digested all the time.

aim_ipad

APP: AIM for iPad
COMPLEX SAYS: The AIM app for the iPhone will run you $2.99, but the fuller featured iPad cousin will cost you nothing. The best AIM client we've ever used allows you to not only talk to people on AOL's network, but to all your friends on Facebook, Twitter, and if you still have any on there, Myspace. On top of that, it looks like Apple designed it themselves. There's no higher praise than that.
