For anyone who felt Michael Cera got away from playing himself in movies by growing a pair as Nick Twisp's alter-ego in Youth in Revolt, we give you the trailer for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Directed by Edgar Wright (Spaced, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and the highly-anticipated Ant-Man movie!) and based on Bryan Lee O'Malley's beloved graphic novel, it's about a dry-humored rocker who has to defeat his dream chick's seven evil ex-boyfriends to win her over. Can't say Scott Pilgrim has ever really been our shit, and the trailer, though cool looking, doesn't exactly rock our world. What do you think? Is it awesome or corny?

book was a little cornball to begin with, so it's a little hamstrung already. but given that, i'm inclined to go with 'awesome' on the trailer.

I know the hip thing is to love Scott Pilgram, but in the immortal words of Prodigy, "Yo shit co'ny to me!" And the movie looks true to the comic.
