Those Involved: Nibs, Pull 'n" Peel, Turpz, Strawz
You Aughta Know: On July 18, 1998, Twizzlers made the Guinness Book of World Records with the longest licorice twist ever made, measuring 1,200 feet and 100 pounds.

Who doesn't like artificial strawberry goodness turning their teeth red on movie theatre dates? Unless you're one of those Licorice Purists who gets off on the flavor of the bogus black, these red ropes have become the industry standard for licorice. Sure, they don't contain any actual licorice, but that's beside the point, people.

I hate when sites do this. You have to go through 50 pages. At least put 10 per page. It takes less time to scroll.

Generations of Belgian and Swiss chocolate makers are spinning in their graves. I am always amazed that someone with little or no knowledge of the subject on which they're writing can actually get paid to write a "best" list like this. Shame Complex.

Complex makes a habit of picking the shittiest "number one thing of all time". This would be one of those times. What about regular M&M's? Those beat the crap out of the peanut kind. And, yeah, what ABOUT jellybeans? Those are way better than half the crap on this list. Who eats that much Japanese candy anyway?

How are Tootsie Rolls not up there?

I'm not sayin it should've been #1, but c'mon man....no love for a Payday bar? Peanuts and caramel is about as simple as you can get, and straight up, adding chocolate to it (the Avalanche) ruined the flavor. Payday is my favorite candy bar of all time.

nah.. i think they got this one right. i remember the sour patch kids/watermelons/blueberries used to always be sold out at the lunchroom store and i even believe a distressed fat kid choked out one of those fundraiser box toting kids for running out. its too bad i grew up and can't fuck wit all that sour sweet shit anymore.

I agree that this list was pretty shitty, but I do love me some sour patch kids
