After a year's worth of Worldwide Wednesday, we've finally done it, folks. The big one. The country with the longest history of human development in all of Africa. The place that spawned a dozen '80s charity pop songs and twice as many tasteless jokes that used "a grain of rice" as a punchline. Yes, welcome our newest guest, Ethiopia! We don't really know exactly what's popping in the East African nation besides swarms of bugs and ungodly heat, but we're guessing that one of them is hot women. What this country can't do with stability, they make up for in the lady dept. So here we go again, the dopest Ethiopians (and now the world around us begins moving in slow motion when)...

#9: JIITU ABRAHAM
CLAIM TO FAME: Smarts and good looks? No wonder this girl was Miss Ethiopia World 2005. Jiitu is the Senior English Language Anchor on an Ethiopian News Program that airs in Washington, home to a sizable Ethiopian community that we're sure gets the expanded international cable package legally loves seeing her on their screen.

#8: SENAIT ASHENAFI
CLAIM TO FAME: Her first stint in the acting industry was like many others, on General Hospital. Later, she dabbled in a few sitcoms, appearing on Fresh Prince and Different Strokes. Finally, she was given her big break on the big screen by starring as boxer Brianna Marie Dukes in Honeybee. What, you missed that one? You must have skipped the Oscars' "Salute to Movies That Got Less Than Two Stars on Netflix."

#7: WAYNA
CLAIM TO FAME: This R&B singer was recently nominated for Best Urban/Alternative Performance for the song "Lovin You (Music)" at the 2009 Grammy Music Awards. She also had a little run-in with the police this past March, when she was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon while boarding a flight. The weapon in question? A 24-inch police baton that she said is used during her performances. Count us in...we think.

CLAIM TO FAME: Model: Check. College: check. Wrestler: Uh, check. Nothing like a woman who's got it all together...and can put you in a camel clutch. Did you get that? We tried to evoke an association with her vagina by an indirect reference to "cameltoe." Killa!

liya_kebede
#1: LIYA KEBEDE
CLAIM TO FAME: After prancing around the catwalks (by which we mean runways, not ho strolls) of Ethiopia, Liya was eventually spotted by a film director who sent her to Paris once she graduated school. She was then relocated to New York, where she used her long legs and fierce stare to keep her distance from our grubby hands. And loins.
