Drakeo The Ruler returned with assurance while talking to fans on his livestream after missing almost all of 2017 after being arrested when police raided his video shoot and found multiple firearms. The LA-native has worked with established acts like DJ Mustard and brings both aggression and urgency to each record he touches. Drakeo released his third full-length project Cold Devil to close 2017 and it's easily been one of our early favorites coming into the new year.
The project showcases not only the skill and potential of Drakeo, but the potential of the whole new wave coming out of the West Coast. Fellow rising acts such as 03 Greedo and Ohgeesy of Shoreline Mafia and a slew of rising producers helped the South Central native deliver one of the more promising projects in recent memory.
