Staten Island Rapper Squidnice is Larger Than Life

Staten Island's next star has his sights set skyward.

It's been a wild year for Squidnice, the 20-year-old rapper out of Staten Island's Port Richmond. Two of his songs—"Everywhere I Go" and "Trap By My Lonely"—took 2017 by storm, introducing Squid's signature drawl to the masses. Fashion sponsorships and festival appearances followed soon after, and The Craccen EP arrived in August. The come-up continues.

We joined Squid earlier this summer, starting on his home turf and continuing into the night at a Manhattan concert. Everywhere we went, a cloud of excitement and energy followed Squid—from Port Richmond kids asking for his autograph to a headfirst stagedive, Squidnice is leaving his mark on the city that raised him. Watch our short doc above, and check out the infomercial we shot with Squid for a very exclusive opportunity.
