After teaming up with Baby Keem for “5 4 3 2 1” just a week ago, Offset has continued down his solo path with “Code” featuring Moneybagg Yo.

The latest effort from Offset sees the rapper flaunting his talents over a hard-hitting instrumental. It’s the second solo single we’ve gotten from him this year, as his Migos bandmates Quavo and Takeoff continue to work together under their Unc & Phew moniker.

“Code” comes shortly after Offset filed a lawsuit against Migos’ record label Quality Control over the rights to his solo music. In the suit, he claimed that label is attempting to take ownership of his new material despite a deal they negotiated in January 2021 in regards to his own career. Quality Control CEO Pierre “P” Thomas addressed the lawsuit on Twitter, writing, “Let’s see how this one go. Been to [sic]real for all this lame shit. Everyone know the real problem.” He has since deleted the tweet, but not before Offset replied.

“N***as act like im the problem I paid millions to get my rights back N***a you black balled me,” wrote Offset in response. “I ain’t said Shìt one time homie I ain’t spoke to you in 2 years now I drop and you want ya name on my credit?” A representative for Quality Control has since claimed “Offset remains a part of QC.”
