Master P is mourning the loss of his daughter Tytyana Miller, who passed away reportedly from a drug overdose. At a recent show, the rapper paid tribute to his daughter and shared a message about the importance of mental health awareness and substance abuse.

“We ain’t gonna grieve no more, we’re going to celebrate because now I’m going to be able to take care of millions of kids and save millions of lives,” P said during the performance. “I’m going to get out here and play my part… Mental illness and substance abuse is a serious thing.”

P then had the crowd join together and sing Michael Jackson’s “You Are Not Alone,” calling it his daughter’s “theme song.”

“I always been my daughter’s parachute, now she’s my parachute in the sky,” he wrote in the caption for the touching tribute. “No more grieving, it’s time to celebrate her and help millions of people dealing with mental illness and substance abuse. #WeAllWeGot #godisgood.”

Last week, P’s son and fellow rapper/entrepreneur Romeo Miller shared a message about the passing of his sister, asking for privacy at this time.

“Love on your loved ones, life is short,” Romeo wrote. “The silver lining, I know she’s in a way better place and finally at peace and free. God Bless. -RM 😞🤍🕊”

P wrote a similar message on his Instagram, saying that it has been a “long and painful journey for our family.”

“It has been a long and painful journey for our family, my daughter has been battling with this since 2015,” he said in his latest Instagram update. “Mental illness and substance abuse is a real issue and we hope to turn this tragedy into a testimony.”

P also extended his condolences to other families who have lost someone due to these issues, vowing to do “what he can to help out.”

Tytyana Miller was 29 years old.
