It's been a while since we've heard some new music from Earl Sweatshirt—or we should say it had been a while, as some footage of him debuting a new song this past weekend at the Day N Night Festival found its way onto YouTube on Tuesday. See, *looks around* here it is:
As HotNewHipHop notes, this isn't the first time that Earl has gone the route of teasing new music to his fans in a live performance before later putting out the official release. In fact, he did the same thing last year by busting out a trio of new songs for a crowd in Calgary at the One Love Festival.
While we wait for the release date of his next album (which has been confirmed), Earl is slated to perform with Solange for her Orion's Rising performance series at both Radio City Music Hall (on October 3) and at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, California (on October 20).
Guess those are your next best chances to catch a glimpse of what exactly will be on Earl's album. As for those of us outside Berkeley and NYC, we'll just have to wait and see whether or not that music finds its way onto YouTube.
