Drake Announces New OVO Sound Signing Naomi Sharon: "I Been Waiting For This Day"

Singer Naomi Sharon signed with OVO Sound this week, making her the first woman to join Drake's label’s. She also dropped two new songs co-produced by 40.

Singer Naomi Sharon signed with OVO Sound this week, making her the first woman to join the label’s roster. 

Coinciding with the signing, Sharon also dropped two new singles “Another Life” and “Celestial” today with Noah “40” Shebib behind the boards as co-producer on on both.

Drake took to Instagram last night to announce Sharon joining his label.

“I been waiting for this day for too long now where the world finally gets to digest the insane amount of work you have put in since we met,” Drake wrote. “My dear friend just dropped her single Another Life on OVO SOUND”

Sharon shared Drake’s post as a story on Instagram and expressed her gratitude to him.

“Words cannot express how happy I am I can finally share this news with the world. And I cannot thank you enough for this insane opportunity,” she said.

40 also took to Instagram to announce his excitement over Sharon's signing to OVO Sound.

“I’m honoured to be a part of this journey. I’m so proud of you and can’t wait for the world to hear the rest of what you’ve been working on,” he wrote.

Sharon joins a roster consisting of Partynextdoor, Majid Jordan, Roy Woods, Popcaan, Dvsn, Baka Not Nice, and Smiley.
