Cordae only dropped his second studio album From a Birds Eye View earlier this year, but the 24-year-old rapper is already back with two new songs and a music video.

“Unacceptable” and “So With That” see Cordae firmly in his comfort zone, with two distinctively different instrumentals. The former goes for a more modern, soulful sound courtesy of producers ATL Jacob and Hendrix Smoke, while the latter goes for a throwback sound complete with chipmunk-style vocal samples.

Cordae dropped From a Birds Eye View earlier this year, as a follow-up to his 2021 EP Just Until… and his solo debut The Lost Boy. Featuring appearances from Lil Wayne, Gunna, Freddie Gibbs, Stevie Wonder, and Eminem, the album saw him build upon the momentum of his promising debut.

Earlier this month, rumors circulated that Cordae had split from his girlfriend Naomi Osaka. A source close to the young couple, however, confirmed with TMZ that they are very much still together. Osaka and Cordae began publicly dating in 2019, and they’ve been very supportive of each other’s respective career paths. Osaka even poked fun at the rumors in a post on Twitter, featuring a picture of them together looking at a phone. “Us looking at Twitter yesterday,” she added alongside the image, which Cordae retweeted.

He also recently linked up with Pierce Simpson to chat sneakers. Cordae broke down why he thinks the updated version of PUMA’s iconic Slipstream model is “good for everyday, comfortable wear,” and teased what he has planned with the brand in the future.
