Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have announced that they’ve lost their “miracle baby” during her pregnancy.

In a joint Instagram post, the couple shared the news with the “deepest sadness.” Asghari commented on the post that the pair will “have a miracle soon.”

“This is a devastating time for any parent,” the couple wrote. “Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along, however we were overly excited to shared the good news. Our love for each other is our strength. We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family. We are grateful for all of your support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult moment.”

Spears made her pregnancy announcement last month, when she shared on Instagram that she learned of the pregnancy on a trip with her fiancé in Maui. As she recalled, she thought she was “food pregnant,” but later discovered she was expecting another child. Spears is the mother of two boys she shares with ex Kevin Federline— Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15. She met her fiancé on a music video set in 2016.

“It’s hard because when I was pregnant I had perinatal depression,” the pop star previously wrote. “I have to say it is absolutely horrible 😔…women didn’t talk about it back then…some people considered it dangerous if a woman complained like that with a baby inside her…but now women talk about it everyday…thank Jesus we don’t have to keep that pain a reserved proper secret 🤫 😬😬😬…This time I will be doing yoga 🧘‍♀️ every day!!! Spreading lots of joy and love 💕!!!”

We extend out thoughts to the couple.
