City Girls 'City on Lock'

The City Girls' long-awaited sophomore album has arrived and, apparently, a little sooner than expected.

Members Yung Miami and JT unleashed City on Lock at midnight Saturday, just hours after the project prematurely surfaced online earlier in the day. City on Lock delivers 15 tracks with guest appearances by Doja Cat ("Pussy Talk"), Yo Gotti ("Broke N***as"), and Lil Baby ("Flewed Out"). The effort was accompanied by the official video for "Jobs," which is described as a girl power-themed track about "independence and trying to have fun when the system or world feels like it can be working against you."

The album follows the duo's 2018 debut effort, Girl Code, which featured their top-charting singles "Act Up" and "Twerk." Though they didn't specifically mention the leak of the latest project, the Miami rappers shared a series of Instagram posts expressing frustration and sadness: "I swear to god, y'all don't understand how I'm feeling right now ...," Miami wrote. "Y'all think everything a game! NOBODY IS PLAYING."

After some much-needed venting, Miami returned to Instagram to share City on Lock's official cover art along with the caption, "Tonight fuck it!" As such, fans applauded the bold move.
