Rising North Carolina rapper Toosii continues momentum with "5 Stars," his introspective new single. Released alongside a video directed by Michael Burroughs, the track sees Toosii contrast his aspirations against his roots.
"I like my music videos to show my personality and for people to feel like they know me. For '5 Stars,' I really didn’t want to do too much with the video," Toosii told Complex. "The song has good vibes and a nice flow to it. To be honest, the same day I recorded the song, I checked into my room at a 5-star hotel, living that 5-star life. This is everything I hoped and prayed for!!!"
Toosii counts himself as part of the South Coast Music Group roster, which also includes labelmate DaBaby. "5 Stars" comes two months after Toosii dropped his debut studio album, Platinum Heart, which has already been streamed more than 50 million times.
