Lil Uzi Vert is a huge fan of Hayley Williams of Paramore, but she just revealed she turned down the opportunity to collaborate with him. Speaking with Zane Lowe, Williams said she passed on the offer because she's not interested in being "that famous."

"I get asked to do like features on country songs sometimes," she explained, before mentioning why her collab with Lil Uzi Vert never happened. "I remember, too, Uzi asking me to do some stuff with him. And I know that fans are going to be so pissed at me for saying this, but I literally wrote him back on Instagram and I was like, 'Buddy, I love you so much, but I don't want to be that famous.'"

Williams is currently gearing up to release her solo EP Petals For Armor I, and as of right now Paramore and collabs don't appear to be her focus. "I told him like we were getting ready to take a break," she continued. "I obviously had a lot of issues going on that no one really knew about and I was like, 'Bro, I just need to disappear. I don't want to be that kind of a famous person.' Because that is...he's like a big artist, man. My stepbrother is obsessed with them. He was pissed when I told him the story."

In 2016, Uzi went viral when he posted a video of himself singing along to Paramore's 2013 track "Ain't It Fun." The following year, he told Zane Lowe that Williams is "the best," expressing just how much of a fan he is.

This isn't the only collaboration Lil Uzi Vert recently missed out on. Before the release of Eternal Atake and LUV vs. the World 2, Grimes revealed she sent a number of beats to Uzi but he never got around to downloading them.
