With his new album After Hours just a month away, the Weeknd has announced an extensive 57-date tour. With shows across both America and Europe, he will kick off the tour in Vancouver on June 11, before taking a short break in September ahead of his European dates in October.

"The After Hours Tour will showcase state of the art production and one of the most innovative stage designs to date, containing the most LED lights and video for an arena show," a Live Nation press release announced.

Joined by Sabrina Claudio, Don Toliver, and 88GLAM at select shows, the Weeknd will wrap it up with a final gig in Paris, France on Nov. 12. Titled after his new album, which is set to drop on Mar. 20, this will be his first North American tour since his 2017 string of dates in support of Starboy. He played a number of shows across Asia in 2018.

In the lead-up to the release of After Hours, the Weeknd has shared a string of promising singles including "Blinding Lights," "Heartless," and the album's title track. The artist also spoke about After Hours in a recent interview with CR Men.

"I feel confident with where I’m taking this [new] record. There’s also a very committed vision and character being portrayed and I get to explore a different side of me that my fans have never seen," he told writer Tianna Reid, before touching on his "Heartless" single. "It was the first song I wrote after [My Dear Melancholy], so it felt fitting for me to put it out. I play a character in the video who becomes compromised and then overcompensates with all the sins that Vegas provides. It’s a great introduction to the next chapter of my life."

In other news, the Weeknd has partnered with Verizon to offer perks to people who are signed up with the telecommunications company's Verizon Up customer loyalty program. "Connecting with my fans is paramount," the signer said. "I constantly strive to produce experiences that transcend music and through this Verizon partnership I’ll be able to get to that more intimate level with people." A statement said that members will gain "exclusive access to concerts and private experiences throughout 2020." It was also announced that "an intimate, exclusive Verizon Up concert from The Weeknd" is in the works with details expected to be shared later this year.
