The "Rodeo" remix, which brought Nas together with Lil Nas X late last month, now has an official video.

The remix was previously performed at this year's Grammy Awards, where X took home honors for Best Music Video and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Prior to the new video's release, X shared with fans some of the inspiration behind his latest visual, including Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and Buffy the Vampire Slayer:

The original 7 EP version of "Rodeo," of course, featured Cardi B. The eight-track "Old Town Road"-including collection also saw X link up with Travis Barker, Billy Ray Cyrus, Dot da Genius, Ryan Tedder, and more.

The "Rodeo" remix, as X explained in a Super Bowl x Doritos-centered interview with Billboard last month, has actually been in the bag for about a month and a half.

"I thought it would be its own moment for hip-hop," X said at the time. "Just to have that whole [idea] of 'Nas doesn't like Lil Nas' perish. It was dope of him to hop on the song. The best advice he told me was to 'Keep your foot on their necks.'"

X's plans for the rest of 2020 include finishing up a new album and sharing even more new music videos. Speaking with Angie Martinez last September, X said he's aiming for songs that are "more personal, maybe, but still slapping."

In the meantime, catch the "Rodeo" remix video—based on a treatment co-written by X and directed by Bradley & Pablo—at the top of this page.
