Kamaiyah 'Got It Made'

Kamaiyah is back with Got It Made.

The Bay Area rapper announced the project earlier this month on Instagram, unveiling its official cover art shot by Adrian Octavius Walker.

“After almost 4 years I present to you my project Got It Made,” Kamaiyah wrote in the announcement. “… the wait is over we going up and this mutha fucka slap.”

Got It Made delivers 10 tracks, including the Kenny Produced It- and DJ Banks-produced cut “Set It Up” with Trina. The project also features Oakland rapper Capolow and San Francisco DJ J Espinosa.

The effort follows Kamaiyah’s A Good Night in the Ghetto (2016) and Before I Wake (2017) mixtapes, both of which were self-released.

"On [Got it Made], you get to see my story play out through the music, and what I’ve learned in the business," Kamaiyah said in an interview with The Face about the tape. "The project is to [going to show] I’m not afraid to take a risk in my career and gamble on myself. It’s a manual to success."

You can stream Got It Made, which was released via her own GRND.WRK label and EMPIRE, now on Apple Music and via Spotify below.

After dropping the track, Kamaiyah took to Twitter to address her label situation.

I’ve been out of my deal since august and the respectful thing to do was to not address it until the music came out because it would be blatantly obvious I’m no longer signed but the beautiful thing is I started my own label and I own all my masters it was a gift in disguise
