Ice Cube has given "Nipsey Hussle Way" his stamp of approval.

The West Coast legend was at LAX on Saturday, when he was asked about the calls to name an intersection in South Los Angeles after the late rapper.

"Yup, why not?" he told TMZ. "Yeah, man anything to honor him."

Cube also shared some words of advice for those who were mourning Nipsey's death: "Keep your head up. Watch your back."

In wake of Nipsey's fatal shooting last Sunday, fans launched a Change.org petition that encouraged L.A. city officials to name the corner of Crenshaw Boulevard and Slauson Avenue "Nipsey Hussle Way." The section of street is located right outside the rapper's Marathon Clothing the store, where he was gunned down at the age of 33.

The suspected gunman, Eric Holder, was arrested two days after the shooting. He has pleaded not guilty to one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and one count of firearm possession by a felon. Holder remains is being held on $5 million bail, and is being represented by former O.J. Simpson prosecutor Chris Darden.

Holder could face up to life in prison if found guilty on all charges.

Sources told the L.A. Times a memorial service for Nipsey will take place Thursday at the Staples Center. The service is reportedly open to the public, but will be a ticketed event.
