Listed as one of the emcees to watch in 2019, it's really no surprise that Unknown T has returned with heat this month, dropping long-awaited single "Throwback".
Given a snippet of the track during the Homerton rapper's Fire In The Booth freestyle last year. If for nothing else than to show versatility, he switched up from drill sounds to the cult Flukes production—popularised by Tinie Tempah's Channel U chart-topper—and received a rare pull-up from Charlie Sloth.
Securing the involvement of Crazy Cousinz (previously a duo), the "Wifey Riddim" pioneer tweaks the bass between the soft melodies here, adding more weight to the rapper's low-growl tone. He spent months in the chart with the slow burn success of his debut last year, however missing out on breaking the Top 40. The bar is set for improving on that this time around with the nostalgic bounce of "Throwback".
