What started out as an issue between Offset and Chris Brown over a 21 Savage meme has escalated to verbal threats. In an Instagram Stories post, Offset said he would "smack the shit out" of Brown and also referenced the singer's history of domestic violence.

"Check my record and check yours only people you go to toe to toe with is women that's for lame nikkas," Offset wrote. "Btw Ima smack the shit out you when I see you!"

Read Offset's message below.

I ain't really have too much rap for you on this social media shit but since that's where you wanna take it tell the people why you had your management reach out to squash the shit! Check my record and check yours only people you go to toe to toe with is women that's for lame nikkas .Oh and btw Ima smack the shit out you when I see you!

Minutes after Offset posted the story, Brown shared screenshots of what he said were direct messages between him and the Migos member. You can see Brown was responding to an IG user who had asked for his address.

"Pussy n***a u know where I Stay!!! GOOGLE MAPS!! My address ain't no secret spot," Brown replied. "I'll be the [sic] at 4."

"[...] Not coming to yo house," the person responded, "when I see u know it's up."

Brown went on to share his home address and told the individual, presumably Offset, to "run me my fade stop actin pussy."

The back-and-forth between the artists began earlier this week, after Brown had posted a meme that mocked 21's recent legal issues. The U.K.-born rapper was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Sunday for allegedly overstaying his visa. Law enforcement officials say 21 is now in removal proceedings and is facing deportation to the U.K.

Brown posted an edited video of 21's XXL Freshman cypher in which the Issa Album rapper's vocals were replaced by those of Big Shaq. Offset responded to the post simply with, "Memes ain't funny lame." The mild criticism prompted Brown to publish an expletive-filled response, which ended with "If you a rel man fight me. Oh and another thing, suck my dick!"

Offset went on to call Brown a "coke head," and Brown compared Offset to the fictional character Pootie Tang.
