Fresh off winning a Grammy for her contributions to Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy, Kehlani has given fans another teaser off her upcoming mixtape While We Wait.
Titled “Butterfly,” the gorgeous track shows her vulnerable side, as she sings about her lover making her feel complete and how powerful love can be to help break you out of your shell.
Kehlani also shared another announcement: the project is available for pre-order. It features Ty Dolla Sign, 6lack, Dom Kennedy, and Musiq Soulchild.

“Butterfly” follows her previous release, “Nights Like This,” featuring Ty Dolla Sign. The string of new releases marks the first time since 2017 that fans will get a fully-fledged project from her. Last month, she tweeted, “Mixtape lani da best lani,” a claim that’s hard to refute. Her 2015 mixtape, You Should Be Here, was universally acclaimed and received a nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards.
You can expect While We Wait to hit streaming services on Feb. 22.
