Boosie Badazz has fulfilled his promise. The Louisiana rapper delivered "one of the coldest blues albums" with Boosie Blues Café on Thanksgiving. Boosie’s first venture into blues music came as a surprise in more ways than one. Aside from being a clear departure from what you heard on his mixtape Boonk Gang earlier this year, the announcement of Blues Café's arrival was made just a few days ago when he revealed the album cover, which featured a photo of himself eating his own Rap Snacks "Louisiana Hot" wavy chips.
The tracklist for Blues Café fulfills a theme fit for Thanksgiving with a menu serving up everything being offered on the 17-song project.
As for what you can expect to hear from Blues Café, Boosie is serious about this being a “real blues album.” “My blues album is a real blues album," Badazz toldPitchfork. "Blues beats, blues instruments. It's one of the coldest blues albums people will hear."
