Recently Kevin Gates sat down with Sway Calloway for a four-part interview, and now the second part has arrived. In the latest segment, he opens up about his relationship with Mac Miller. Sway pointed out how both Gates and Miller have always been very open about mental health and substance abuse in their music, which prompts him to ask how he feels about Miller's untimely death.

Gates responded at the 3:04 point of the interview. "I don't wanna talk about it with you, but I been on Mac Miller. I used to go to his house and record, this [was] when I used to jump out the James Bond coupé with the little bitty dog. ... He was like a brother to me, a lot of people don't know. I fuck with dude, I do. I didn't get on the internet and be like, 'Ay rest in peace Mac Miller,' cause that wasn't my position."

He continues from there, remaining vague but making it clear how much Miller means to him. "If I fuck with you I fuck with you, but me and dude had a personal relationship outside of music," he explained. "I believe that he changed form, I don't believe in death I believe he changed form. ... Energy never die so may peace be upon Mac Miller, not rest in peace."

In the first of the four-part interview series, Gates spoke about his felony gun charge from last year. "I was innocent, but I plead guilty to that charge because you know, a lot of times you can beat the charge, but you can't beat the ride," he told Sway. Watch the second part of the interview above.
